Job Description

Sitting at the intersection of local & national audience development, national program production, syndication sales and program marketing this position will function as WBURs primary liaison with public media stations and WBURs national production partners.

The position will work to proactively advance WBURs audience and carriage revenue goals for On Point and Here & Now. They will oversee daily communication with stations and other partners about editorial content, breaking news and promotional opportunities. They will own and advance the case for increased use of both programs with improved carriage timeslots and new carriage, driving revenue in the process. Additionally, the position will maintain and deepen relationships with program decision makers at stations, with special focus on the top 50 markets. The position will provide proactive guidance on station growth opportunities, identifying at risk stations, and coordinate affiliate monetization program activities such as fundraising and event support. The position will assist network distribution partners in their maintenance of accurate monthly carriage lists for both programs; and provide program information and audience data to other WBUR teams as needed.

Daily responsibilities include the coordination and distribution of rundown and promotional information for WBUR produced programs to client stations; and being on short notice standby to handle communications during breaking news situations.

This is a full-time position, ideally, but not essentially based in the Greater Boston area.
