Reports to: Executive Producer, PBS News Weekend
Status: Full - Time, Non-Exempt, 1 Year
Hourly Rate: $22.00
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
 
This one-year fellowship was created in honor of award-winning PBS NewsHour anchor Gwen Ifill. The fellow works as part of a producing team to create the weekly, national TV news analysis program, "Washington Week," as well as the PBS News Weekend. The fellow will work collaboratively with producers to research national and international news stories, gather video elements, assist with scripts, monitor and log live news events, generate story ideas, copy edit, and produce broadcast and web content.

WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington, DC established media and news organizations.  We are a largely local workforce based out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, VA.  WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible.  Most positions based in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the role.
