One of four original businesses in Duncan, Oklahoma, The Banner is the oldest city business that has remained in operation without a change in name. The paper was founded in 1892, and it is believed that the original presses were delivered on the first train that ever stopped at the Duncan depot.
The Duncan Banner publishes five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. The Banner covers Stephens County which comprises of Duncan, Bray, Central, Comanche, Empire, Marlow and Velma, Oklahoma.
