Currently the Journalism Department, in the College of Liberal Arts, has six full-time faculty members and five lecturers, most of whom teach nearly full-time. The department serves approximately 280 undergraduate students in digital, print and broadcast journalism, public relations and advertising. The department’s digital-first student news organization, student-run public relations agency, campus radio and TV stations and interdisciplinary collaborations provide laboratories for elevating community engagement and knowledge as well as opportunities for research.
