Overview

Campaigns & Elections (C&E) is the journal for the political campaign industry. C&E publishes exclusively online, through its flagship website (www.campaignsandelections.com) and email newsletters. C&E also produces the campaign industry’s leading B2B conferences and award shows. 

Your job will be to ensure Campaigns & Elections produces best-in-class content for its audience of political campaign professionals across C&E’s various publications, events and social media channels.

Your Responsibilities

Editorial Content Creation

• Create editorial plans for the Campaigns & Elections website and its associated newsletter.

• Write editorial content and commission content from others.

• Manage the production of C&E industry reports.

• Conduct interviews and host webinars and videos with industry experts.

Social Content Creation

• Create a video-first social media content plan to support C&E’s editorial and broader content output.

• Managing the creation of all social media content required to support that social media plan.

Event Planning & Participation

• Assist C&E’s Director of Events by suggesting speakers and session topics as needed.

• You will travel to C&E’s conferences, moderate sessions and write copy covering the event.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the achievement of team and broader organizational goals.

Skills & Experience

• At least two years copywriting experience, preferably with a journalistic background.

• An experienced social media content producer with an emphasis on data visualization and/or video.

• Exceptional design skills and the ability to turn around design work quickly.

• Experience with the following professional tools:

  • Wordpress

  • HubSpot

  • Canva
