ABC 7 Chicago’s #1 news is seeking an experienced newsroom leader to produce its top-rated 6:00pm newscast and its 6:30pm streaming newscast. Responsibilities:
In addition to crafting a fast paced, visually compelling show, the producer is responsible for communicating with reporters about the focus and format of their stories.
The producer will report directly to the Executive Producer and will also be responsible for creating graphics and editing video at their desktop.

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 plus years newscast producing experience in a medium to large market.
Must have rock solid news judgment and aggressive when it comes to covering breaking news.
Strong writing, communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrates consistent use of digital media and user-generated content in all parts of newscast creation from story selection to on-air presentation.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree required

This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.
The hiring range for this position in Chicago, IL is $113,800 to $152,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
