News Reporter

Summary

Entravision is seeking a passionate, curious, and digitally driven Reporter to join our national Spanish-language streaming news team. This is an opportunity for a journalist who thrives on breaking news, compelling storytelling, and creating content that connects with Hispanic audiences across the United States and Latin America.

Essential Functions

• Report on breaking news, enterprise stories, and major national events across the U.S. and Latin America.
• Produce accurate, engaging, and compelling stories for streaming, digital, and social media platforms.
• Deliver live reports and interviews from the field.
• Write clear, concise, and broadcast-quality scripts in native-level Spanish.
• Collaborate with producers, assignment editors, and digital teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom.
• Create platform-specific content for social media before, during, and after live coverage.
• Build and maintain a strong network of sources and community contacts.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of reporting experience at a Hispanic television network or national Spanish-language news organization.
• Native-level fluency in spoken and written Spanish; English proficiency is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Hispanic, Latin American, and international news.
• Excellent live reporting, storytelling, interviewing, and writing skills.
• Tech-savvy with experience using mobile journalism tools, digital newsrooms, and social media platforms.
• Passion for creating content that resonates with today's digital-first audiences.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, breaking news environment.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during major news events.
• Willingness to travel frequently for breaking news and special assignments.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a Full Time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Reports directly to VP Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives for Broadcast
