PRODUCER (EWTN News Nightly)
Full-time, onsite in Washington, D.C. Not remote-eligible.
 
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As the Producer, you will work with the News Nightly editorial team to produce content and fulfill other responsibilities with a strict deadline to produce a quality daily newscast. 
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Produces discussion segments on national/international news from a Catholic perspective, including writing/editing news scripts under tight deadlines.
• Communicate with the Sr. Producer and Host about guests, including extensive research and potential discussion questions.
• Pitch original content stories that would make good discussion or news segments based on current affairs.
• Choose videos, sound bites, and still photos to be included in the broadcast.
• Collaborate with pre- and post-production team members in order to produce editorially sound and visually appealing broadcasts that meet EWTN and Industry standards.
• Serves as backup support to provide coverage for other shows as needed.

ABOUT YOU:

• You have 3-5 years prior experience working in TV broadcast production/programming, print news, communications.
• You possess excellent broadcast writing & communication skills, including social media.
• You have a proven understanding of the Catholic faith and how it relates to the programming goals of the Network.
• You exhibit solid news judgement.
• You are fluent on wide variety of social media platforms.
• You are able to collaborate easily within a team, and work well independently.
• You are able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/nights when required.
• You hold a bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
